Painting Everest and more for sale at Konstauktion.se in Uppsala, Sweden

"Probably the best colorful simplicity artist in the world"

"The art of the Danish painter Asbjorn Lonvig communicates at the first glance euphoria in a rough state. A so intense euphoria that the glance can not move away from the piece of his art", author Alain Joannes, Paris, France says in his new book "Communiquer par l'image".

ARTIST: Asbjorn Lonvig (this is lonvig.dk - if you want to see about writings, lecturing etc. it's lonvig.org)

TECHNIQUE: Totally unique style in simple shapes and bright colors. Acrylic on canvas. Size 201 x 139 cm. That's 79.2 x 54.8 inches. The displayed images are drafts. Edition 5. This is 1/5.

BE AWARE: The motif is shown in 5 different color schemes. The price you bid is on ONE of them. What you buy is ONE of the 5 different color scemes. You buy ONE painting.

MOTIF: Inspired by the highest mountain in the world, Mont Everest in Nepal. And the wish to climb it - soon! - Might it be like seeing a Henri Matisse exhibition at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art? Seeing the great Master's colorful simplicity paper cut-outs, and letters telling the stories behind. Letters telling me, that he worked from 1941 to 1954 in exactly the same way that I do. A radical renewal that made it possible for Matisse to create what he had always struggled for: "I have needed all that time to reach the stage where I can say what I want to say."

DELIVERY: Canvas shipped in a roll. Allow one month of delivery or as agreed.

SAMPLES: Samples of Colorful Simplicity style motifs - Coming soon on Konstauktion.se - if not already there. If you have any suggestions to which motifs to auction first, please let us know.
